Outreach Activities

As a freshman, you feel the need to be as active as you can. Though over time, the right places and communities fall into place and sit well with you. This page shares which outreach activities in particular that will leave a lasting impact as I reflect on my time at Clemson.

French Professional Society

French Professional Society aims to connect current LAIB French students with alumni so that they can see the different opportunities that can come with being in the major. As president, I reach out to various alumni and arrange the meetings, market them to students, and host the events.

Conversation Partners/TEFL certificate

Throughout a 120-hour course, I learned the intricacies of the English language that are often overlooked by native speakers, what it means to teach in a multicultural environment, and how to create lesson plans. To achieve the certificate, I decided to join Conversation Partners to teach English to an international student at Clemson through one-on-one tutoring sessions. Because of my positive experience, I joined another semester to meet with a new student.

Clemson Body and Soul

Body and Soul strives to empower its members to be the most authentic version of themselves by focusing on mental, emotional and physical health. We are a community that works to build each other up and support each other. We will do this by having meetings including activities such as meditation, self care, and education surrounding mental health and eating disorders. We will also plan eating disorder awareness and body acceptance events to spread awareness, provide community, and celebrate recovery.
